PERFORMING ENGINEERING OPERATIONS LEVEL 2 AEROSPACE Printer Friendly

Who is this course for?

This is a one year full time course and is aimed at giving the candidate the necessary skills required to gain an apprenticeship in the Aerospace industry.

Entry requirements & Application

Entry to the course is by interview including a Maths and English assessment. Applicants will need GCSE Grade D or above in 3 subjects or a minimum of Level 1 in Literacy and Level 1 Numeracy in the assessment.

What will I learn?

In order for you to achieve success in this course you will have to successfully complete the following units:Working Safely in an Engineering environment: Working efficiently and effectively in Engineering: Using and communicating technical information: Carrying out Aircraft detail fitting activities: Installing Aircraft Mechanical fasteners: Producing Aircraft detail assemblies: CG 2597 Level 2 Certificate in Aeronautical Engineering.

Assessment

You will be assessed in different ways depending on the unit. Most of the assessments are by observation, written questions and work produced.

On Completion Achievement / Progression

There are many progression routes Modern Apprenticeship, Aero employment, BTEC National Diplomas. This qualification opens many doors.
