The College Ystrad Mynach Energy Centre was established in 2004 in response to students who wished to continue their construction training with The College. With over 40 years’ experience in the construction industry you can be assured that your training and development is in safe hands. Our Centre provides training and assessment for industry professionals in Caerphilly and the surrounding areas, running courses throughout the year. We offer a full range of courses in gas, plumbing, electrical, solar energy and are accredited by bpec, City & Guilds and Solar Trade Association.
Gas Training
The College offers Gas Training courses for industry professionals. The centre is run by a team of occupationally competent staff who have been in the industry throughout their careers.

Solar Energy
Alternative energy is set to be a big growth area in UK domestic energy installations. With the increasing price rises and the environmental worries of using fossil fuels there is an increased interest in renewable energy sources. In response to the current demand by consumers to seek out alternative energy sources, the college are able to offer solar energy training courses for qualified practicing plumbers who already possess Unvented Domestic Hot Water Cylinders.
