Concerns and Complaints

The College Ystrad Mynach is committed to providing high quality education opportunities for its learners, parents, members of the public and sponsors.

The College Ystrad Mynach has a rigorous quality system that measures the effectiveness and quality of the service it provides.  Throughout the year, learners, staff and stakeholders have the opportunity to participate fully in the improvement of learning, facilities and services, and it is expected that all parties take full advantage in making their views known.

There may be occasions when the existing structure is not able to deal with the problems raised.  It is for this reason that a Complaints Policy has been created.  The Complaints Policy should be used when informal attempts to resolve the matter have not resolved the issue.  The College aims to resolve as quickly and fairly as possible concerns or complaints a learner may have about services provided by the College. The purpose of this procedure is to provide an opportunity for the resolution of any concerns raised or complaints.

The Vice Principal (Student Services) has overall responsibility for the Complaints Policy and the effective delivery and management of the policy.

If you feel that your complaints has not been resolved satisfactorily through a verbal discussion with the Lecturer or Head of School/Department or member of business support, you should then make a formal complaint, either using our online system below or in writing to:

Joan Siddle
Vice Principal (Student Services)
The College Ystrad Mynach
Twyn Road

Once your complaint has been received in writing, it will be investigated and you will receive a written response within 15 working days.
