Help & Support for those facing redundancy
If you have recently been made redundant or are facing the threat of redundancy, The College Ystrad Mynach can help you to retrain for a new career or gain higher skills in your current role.
We can offer you training and development in a range of areas. A selection of short courses, all under 12 weeks in length are available to start throughout the year, further information on the provision can be found here or by contacting Center Training or calling 01443 866274.
In addition our full time and part time courses are now recruiting for September 2009 enrolment with courses available from entry to degree level. Many of the courses are free for registered unemployed and will not affect your benefit entitlements. More information can be found under the courses section of the website or by attending our next open evening on Thursday 7 May between 5pm – 7pm.
ReAct Funding
If you have recently been made redundant or have been given notice of redundancy, you may be eligible for ReAct funding to cover the cost of training to help you get back into work.
ReAct is operated by Careers Wales and funded by the Welsh Assembly Government. Please contact your local careers office to arrange an interview and develop your personalised career plan. If successful you will be able to access training up to the value of £2500 through Colleges or training providers.
