MyFiles

Have you ever wanted to access your College files from home? MyFiles is a new service that allows you to access your College files from outside the College network. If you wish to use MyFiles in the College open up your web browser and type in myfiles and press enter. To access MyFiles from home or anywhere else, in your web browser type in https://myfiles.ystrad-mynach.ac.uk/

Printing and Photocopying

From 01 August 2010, the College introduced a new Printing Policy for Students. The purpose of this policy is to help the environment by cutting down our volume of printing.

• Standard Allocation / Quota is £7.50 per year (150 sheets single sided/300 sheets double sided - mono - provided free of charge by The College).
• Printing/Copy costs = 5p per mono page (Black and White) single or double sided; 10p per colour page single or double sided.

How It Works

Each time you print or copy, the cost will be deducted from your standard allocation. Each time you print a popup will inform you of the charge and your remaining balance. You can view your printing history by clicking on the tray icon. The tray icon looks similar to a clipboard and is located in bottom right of your screen.

If you run out of printing credit, you can top-up as follows: -

• Via the Student Portal - follow the link to "Topup". You can transfer credit from your HIKO Card to your Printing Allowance, providing you have sufficient balance available.
• At a Service Till - where you can top-up your printing allowance by HIKO Card, Credit/Debit or Cash. Tills are available at the Main Reception, Finance Office or Library.
